Please turn in a new Free and Reduced Price School Meals Household Application for the new school year. Students who were approved for free or reduced meals last school year may only receive meals on that basis for the first few days of school. A link to the application and information letter is below. You may also go by your school's office and request one or come by the Alleghany County Schools Central Office located at 85 Peachtree Street, Sparta.
Please keep in mind that no charges are allowed. All families are encourage to fill out a Free and Reduced Price Meal Application for the new school year as soon as possible. These will be available August 6th online and can be picked up at the Alleghany County Board of Education office. The applications will also go home with students the first few days of school and will be available during open house. Students will only be at last school year's status for the first few weeks of school so applications need to be turned in as soon as possible. Students will need to pay for meals until an application is turned in, processed, and a determination of benefits is made. A new application must be submitted every new school year.
