Ms. Hillary Bowlin
Hello! I am Ms. Hillary Bowlin and I am the Middle School Career Development Coordinator for Alleghany County Schools. This year, I will be teaching Exploring Career Decisions to 6th and 7th grade, and Technological Systems to 8th grade. This will be my 4th (and a half) year teaching, but my first year as a Career Development Coordinator and my first experience teaching Middle School. I started my teaching career in Cabarrus County (Concord, NC) at Central Cabarrus High School. There, I taught 9th and 10th grade Technology, Engineering, and Design classes in a STEM Magnet Program.
I am an Ashe County Native; I grew up in Laurel Springs, NC and attended Ashe County High School. I graduated from Appalachian State University in December of 2014 with a degree in Technology Education. I am currently working on obtaining my Career Development Coordinator license. In my free time time, I enjoy walking with my dog Otto, co-advising the Middle School Technology Student Association (TSA Chapter) for Alleghany County, going to the gym, and spending time with my family. I am so excited to be back in the mountains after my time way in the Piedmont and I am so excited to be working here at Glade Creek School during the Fall Semester!
