Mrs. Heather Jones

I am a native of Alleghany County and graduated from Alleghany High School.  I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University with degrees in Middle School and Deaf Education.  I received my Master’s Degree from Gardner-Webb and currently have a National Boards Certification in Special Education. I currently live in Ennice with my two children a son, Hadden and a daughter, Kimberlyn ages, 6 and 3.  2018 began my 20th year of teaching. I started teaching at the North Carolina School for the Deaf in Morganton. I taught there for seven years. I then moved back home and have spent the rest of my teaching career in Alleghany with 12 years here at Glade.  I feel very fortunate to be at Glade Creek School. Glade Creek is a very special place to work. I am very blessed that I have a job that I love and enjoy everyday.

Special Education:  Provide resource support to students mainly in the areas of reading and math.
