Hello! Welcome to my page! I will be the school counselor at Glade Creek Elementary and Piney Creek Elementary this school year. I grew up in Alleghany County and attended Sparta Elementary School and Alleghany High School.

I received my Associate’s degree from Surry Community College and my Bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I majored in Psychology while earning an Elementary Education K-6 Teaching License. Later, I received two Master’s degrees. My first one is in Curriculum and Instruction and the second one is in School Counseling.

I am currently beginning my thirteenth year teaching elementary school. I have experience working with students in grades K-5. I will continue working with middle school grades this year as well. I will teach weekly guidance lessons to students in grades K-8. In addition, I will work with students in small groups and individually as needed throughout the year.
